Backstage @ House Of Holland LFW A/W 2011

Backstage at House of Holland Autumn Winter 2011 was a fashion frenzy of press photographers & bloggers all trying to get the lowdown on the behind the scenes action.
I worked my way through the sea of photographers to cover as much as I could from this highly anticipated show.

The makeup look for the show was created by Lucia Pica.
It was created by firstly applying Studio Moisture Cream mixed with Care Blends Essential Oils massaged into the face to give the skin a moist fresh feel.
The face was light and clean with only Face & Body foundation being used with Select Cover Up concealer to reduce the appearance of imperfections.

For the cheeks 'Pearl' Cream Colour Base was used to highlight the cheek bone with M.A.C PRO Shine Mixing Medium used on top to give it a more moist look which would be picked up better by the lights on the catwalk.
'Pearl' Cream Colour Base was also blended on the eyes.
Then a new product called Pro Sculpting Cream in 'Malaysia' and 'Sand Brown'
(which will be available this A/W at M.A.C) was used to contour and add shadow to the cheeks.
Finally 'Ladyblush' Cremeblend Blush was used on the apple of the cheeks for a lightly flushed appearance.
For the lips a combination of products were used to create and youthful raspberry red.
Firstly the lips were lined with 'Cherry' Lip Pencil and then filled in with 'Ruby Woo' Lipstick for a classic red lip. Then an mix of M.A.C PRO Limixs in 'Crimson', 'Fuchsia', 'Burgundy' and 'White' were applied on top to make the raspberry tone and finally the lips were topped off with 'Clear' Lipglass for a full on glossy pout.

This was the madness backstage, The whole makeup area was crammed full of photographers who would of climbed on the ceiling to get the best shot.

The key hair stylist for the show was Adam Reed of Percy & Reed who created a
loosely pulled back pony with a wavy tail, which was created using the Babyliss Pro Porcelain Rebel Conical Wand.

Henry designer of House of Holland was backstage the entire time overseeing everything that was going on.
Heres some of the accessories being laid out ready for the show, most notably the classic HOH tights, Pat Butcher earrings and the soon to be iconic nanny knitted blanket scarf.

Henry looked rather nervous watching the run through but he needn't of worried the show went down a storm and to see the full catwalk show check out my video here.
